[New WafCharm feature] You can now add multiple email addresses as notification receivers!

1. Introduction

On March 4th, 2020, WafCharm was updated to accept multiple email addresses for the notification feature.

Previously, only email addresses added to WafCharm on each Web ACL could receive email notifications when rules matched requests, but you can now add other email addresses as well.

2. Configuration

Make sure you have set up the notification feature with the manuals listed on the page below before you add email addresses to notify.

How to use the reporting/notification feature?

2-1. Click on [Web ACL Config].

2-2. Click the Web ACL Name you’d like to edit.

2-3. Click Notification.

2-4. Click [Edit] under the Notification email section.

Enter the email address to notify and click update.

Ensure that the message “Notification email was successfully updated.” is shown and the email address you’ve entered is added to the list.

3. Conclusion

You could only receive notifications if your email address was added to WafCharm, but with this update, you can now add anyone to the notification list and receive the same notifications as the owner role account does.

You can also adjust the list of notified email addresses on each Web ACL based on your team’s needs. We hope this will be a useful tool for you!
