Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (CSC) is pleased to announce that the number of subscribers of its cyber security services has surpassed 60 countries/regions as of the end of March 2020, mainly in Europe, North America and Asia*1.

 
■ About CSC’s global achievements to date
In addition to Shadankun, a cloud-based WAF with the No. 1 track record in Japan*2, in 2017 CSC launched WafCharm, a service for automation of AWS WAF operations using AI. Since then, CSC began full-scale development of WafCharm globally as a service for Amazon Web Services (AWS) users, which has an overwhelming share in the global cloud market.

In February 2019, CSC became the world's seventh AWS WAF Managed Rules Seller, and are now selling their own ruleset on the AWS Marketplace.

Utilizing the AWS global cloud platform, CSC has improved their visibility, brand power, and track record in each country, and as a result, they now have subscribers in 64 countries/regions as of the end of March 2020, which increased from 33 countries/regions by the end of July 2019, in just 8 months.

■ Next steps for global expansion
The global security market is expected to grow to approximately US$248 Billion*3 by 2023, which is more than 25 times larger than the projected Japanese domestic security products and services market of approximately US$9.7 Billion*4 by 2023.

Therefore, in order to further strengthen its expansion into the global security market in the future, CSC aims to increase the number of users in each country by aggressively promoting their services in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, and other countries where the number of subscribers is particularly high, based on the foundation of their name recognition, brand power, and achievements in each country that they have cultivated through their expansion to date.

In addition, they plan to continue to collaborate with other global platforms while keeping AWS at the core. And as managed rules can only be sold online via AWS Marketplace, it allows CSC to reach users around the world without needing to invest in human resources in each country.

CSC is also strengthening their structure for global expansion, as they recently appointed Mr. Yoshio Ishizaka, a former president of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. with experience in global business expansion mainly in North America, as an outside director on March 27, 2020, and on April 1, 2020, Mr. Susumu Omori, a former representative of UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., was invited to serve as a global strategic advisor.

As a cybersecurity service provider originated in Japan, getting high praises and being adopted globally has made CSC move a step closer to its aim of creating a secure cyberspace that people around the world can use safely and they plan to continue to promote their services globally while working on technological innovation centered on AI.
