Cyber Security Cloud, Inc. (CSC), which ranked 10th on Deloitte’s 2018 Technology Fast 50 list, started it global operations after establishing its first local subsidiary in Seattle, Washington, United States.Through this subsidiary in the United States, CSC plans to strengthen the local sales of WafCharm, a service for automation of AWS WAF operations using AI & Big Data and focus on expanding its business overseas. WafCharm is a service based on the AWS platform, which boasts a global cloud market share of 51.8%. *1

In order to focus on overseas business expansion in the future, CSC has set business expansion in the North American market as its top priority, as United States accounts for 57% of the global spending in the cyber security market. *2

CSC’s CEO, Hikaru Ohno, said, “We believe that success in the North American market, which has more than half the market size of the entire world, will lead to success in our overseas expansion. And with the success in the US market, we will be able to introduce our services to companies around the globe and establish our global corporate value. Also, after the successful expansion with WafCharm, we plan to introduce our cloud based WAF service "Shadankun" and other new services which will be developed exclusively for the overseas market. Through this, we plan to make our Domestic-Overseas sales ratio 50-50 by 2023.”

In September 2017, CSC became No.1 in Japan *3 in terms of adoption rate of its cloud based WAF. Soon after that, on December 12th, 2017, CSC launched WafCharm for the AWS platform, which has majority of the global cloud market share, creating a foundation for its overseas business development.

After earning a place on the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list, as well as 150th place on the Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500 list in 2018 with revenue (sales) growth of 495.72% based on the past three accounting periods, and being recognized as one of the fastest growing security companies in the Asia Pacific region, CSC decided to open its door for business in the global market.
