■ Background of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Alliance

Corresponding to unknown threats (zero-day exploits) is one of the major issues in cyber security measure. For this, Cyber Threat Intelligence, which collects information on the entire web such as Deep Web, Dark Web, and open source, is an important and very effective countermeasure.

For 25 years, Verint has developed expertise in cyber threat intelligence and has built leadership in the field. This alliance will enable Cyber Security Cloud (CSC) to further strengthen their roots in the cyber threat intelligence field and by indulging with and analyzing cyber threat intelligence, CSC will be able to know threat information in advance and can apply it onto their services in a preemptive manner. As a result, CSC will be able to respond more quickly to zero-day attacks for their we security service "WafCharm", which is a service for automation of AWS WAF operations.

Cyber threat intelligence is the information needed to minimize the damage caused by the ever-advancing cyber-attacks. These are advanced information derived from past data and similar patterns from Surface Web, Deep Web, Dark Web, and they help to understand the motive, purpose, signature, behavior etc. of the attacker.
